You will be warmly welcomed to our clinic and asked to complete a new patient form. Our Chiropractor will then chat with you about your current health concerns, history and lifestyle, before going through a thorough assessment.

In most cases you will receive a treatment (chiropractic adjustment) on the first visit. If further investigation is required (ie. X-ray or other imaging) we will arrange a referral for these services, bulk billed where possible. Every step of the way we will ensure you are part of the discussion, understand your options and have the opportunity to ask questions.

No, not everyone that comes to Wellness Chiropractic will be referred for X-rays. In some circumstances, X-rays are clinically indicated, particularly if you’ve experienced a recent injury or physical trauma, or are showing signs of a degenerative neurological condition. In this circumstance, X-rays are typically bulk billed and able to be taken locally, on the day of referral.

Of course! We are a family-friendly clinic and love having children visit. Whether they are receiving treatment, or just accompanying Mum or Dad, we have a beautiful play space to make your little ones feel welcome and engaged. Come and discover our magnetic blocks, toy kitchen, impressive sticker collection, or challenge Dr. Christian to an old school game of hookey! Our capable team of staff are more than willing to hold your baby and entertain your pre-schoolers so you can relax and switch off for a few moments in our practice

Our fees are low to ensure chiropractic care is accessible to all members of our community. Please call our clinic on 9533 6455 to ask for current pricing information, including family fees and concession rates. Private health insurance claims are available on the spot with HICAPS, and we can process Medicare claims at the time of consultation. 

We are able to support individuals with DVA or NDIS plans and can work collaboratively with your other healthcare providers to achieve your health goals.

Our techniques are suitable for newborns through to the elderly. Dr Christian Varney has completed comprehensive further studies in pediatric and pregnancy care and has over 20 years of experience treating people of all ages and walks of life. In a word, no! We adapt our techniques to the age and physical requirements of each individual.

We typically use very gentle, low force adjustments to achieve effective results, as well as using an activator (specialist chiropractic tool) or chiropractic blocks that sit under your pelvis and allow gravity to do the work while you rest. Some gentle pressure or movement may feel slightly tender or uncomfortable, particularly if you are injured, but we always work to your tolerance and preferences.

Every person and every condition is different. Our goal is to find the most effective and efficient solution for you… we don’t over-service or over-schedule. How often you choose to come is always up to you, and no matter how long it’s been between visits, you are always welcome at our practice.

Please allow 45 minutes for your first visit. Most subsequent visits take around 15 minutes, depending on the treatment required on the day. We realise how valuable your time is and appreciate that many people come to our clinic before work or between meetings, so we pride ourselves on running to schedule. We also understand that sometimes more time is necessary to ensure your health care needs are met, and we’re happy to support you by giving the care and attention that is required.

There are limited one hour car parks available in the surrounding streets (please be sure to read parking signs) Alternatively, paid parking is available directly across the road at Prahran Square Car Park, while Woolworths Prahran rooftop has free 90 minute parking when you spend $15 instore. We are well serviced by trams on Commercial Rd, Chapel Street and High Street, and Prahran train station is just a 4 minute stroll around the corner!

We stock supplements and nutritional products from Metagenics Australia, as well as therapeutic resistance bands and doTerra essential oils.

Come as you are! Patients always remain fully clothed, however, we would ask you to remove bulky jackets, belts or heavy shoes/boots that restrict movement. Ideally you would be in comfortable attire that allows for freedom of movement (activewear is ideal), however if you are coming straight from work or are on your way to a party, we will still be able to adjust you however you’re dressed.
